The public depends on access to free imagery provided by the government. This access would go away if the government moved to an imagery content/licensed approach.

It would appear that the NG911 preferred compexity and accuraccy of all GIS data sets (lidar, imagery, parcel, xyz cellphone ping location, underground utilities, collapse radius for first responder, etc). Do you a see a software developement that will bring all of this data to a realtime/ real situation, and real solution. Will this critical GIS bank require imgery refresh that may lend itself to pricate collection?
